Location Shoots & Housecalls

To be honest, nothing really beats environmental portraiture… Especially on tin… Which is why this is my favorite kind of session.
These sessions take place outside at a location of your choosing though I’m happy to collaborate on picking a spot, especially if it’s out in the desert.
To make these shoots possible, I load my camera gear, chemistry, and portable darkroom into my truck and bring it all to you. The tintypes are made and processed on site and then taken back to my studio to be scanned and varnished.
Due to the more involved nature of these shoots, there is a $60 travel fee and a plate minimum (three 5x7’s or two 8x10’s). That means that these sessions start at $300. If you’d like to add some more plates to a location session, I’m super happy to chat about putting together a package that sounds good to you as long as the plate minimum is met.
There is no limit to how many people can be in these images but, seeing as we’ll be using natural light, the exposure times for these sessions can be anywhere between 1 and 10 seconds which makes sitting still a bit more important than studio sessions.
All sessions come with high res scans.
